Terms of service

Short, and in plain words. Using Sweatch means agreeing to these.

Sweatch is an independent app, run from Lebanon. "Sweatch", "we" and "us" in these terms mean its operator; the terms are an agreement between you and the operator.

1. Who can use Sweatch

You must be 18 or older. Use your real name; if you add a photo, it has to be you. Don't open another account to get round a block, the one-hi limit or a removal. Keep the sign-in codes we email you to yourself.

2. What Sweatch is

A way to find people to play with and to organise a session among yourselves. Sweatch is not a party to what you arrange: we don't book courts, take payments or run the sessions. If a host says a session costs something, you pay the venue or the host directly — not through the app.

3. Turning up

Turning up is the whole point, so the app keeps track. Everyone starts at 100. Leaving a session with more than a day to go is free. Leaving with less than a day to go counts as a late drop-out. Not turning up at all, as marked by the host afterwards, counts more. Turning up counts in your favour. The app shows this to other people as a word — "Reliable", "Usually turns up" — not as a number, and only once you've played a few sessions.

4. Don't

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone.
• Post or send anything sexual, nude, violent, hateful or illegal — in a photo, a profile, a session or a message.
• Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's photo.
• Post sessions you don't intend to host, or that are unsafe or illegal.
• Join a women-only or men-only session you're not the audience for.
• Sell things, advertise, or collect other members' details.
• Break into the app, scrape it, or interfere with it.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. We remove it and close the account.

5. Your content

What you post — your profile, photos, messages — stays yours. You let Sweatch show it to other members so the app works. Don't post what isn't yours to post.

6. Safety, blocking, reporting

Sweatch has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can block anyone; the app stops showing you to each other. You can report anyone from their profile or by emailing safety@sweatch.app. We remove content and accounts that break these terms, without notice where safety is involved.

7. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings; it takes effect immediately. We can close accounts that break these terms.

8. The risks are yours

You're meeting people you found online and doing sport with them. You decide who to meet and where, and you take part at your own risk. Sweatch doesn't check anyone's identity, skill or intentions, and we don't check venues, hosts or instructors. Make sure you're fit to play. Read the safety page.

9. Our responsibility, limited

Sweatch is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for what members do or arrange, for injuries or losses at a session, or for the app being unavailable. Nothing here removes responsibility the law doesn't let us remove — for example for our own deliberate or grossly careless acts. Sweatch is free, and we owe you no compensation beyond what the law requires.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon.

11. Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app. Questions: support@sweatch.app.

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to the app itself. These terms are between you and Sweatch, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
